Every day we do policy with ourselves first.
And this same policy can be seen on a much larger scale in our communities. The only difference is that in this case, it's a question of ensuring that the needs, desires and values of the different individuals who make up the community coexist, rather than just our own.
And yet, even though politics comes naturally, many of us don't like it, even though we practice it all the time. In fact, what we don't like.., is a disconnected, mendacious policy.
