Like you no doubt, on the one hand communism fascinates. But looking at all the examples where it has failed, I wonder if it has any chance of working, if it isn't always sabotaged by a big bad.

In this critical video, we address the inherent complexity of communism by comparing it to group work.

So this analysis raises the crucial question of the control and force needed to make this system work effectively, and thus naturally explains the historical drift of China and North Korea towards dictatorship.

The video is accompanied by images of communist history and the Soviet national anthem in the background.

Like you no doubt, on the one hand communism fascinates. But looking at all the examples where it has failed, I wonder if it has any chance of working, if it isn't always sabotaged by a big bad. Sharing everything, pooling everything, sounds great in theory. But can it really work? Take a simple example: think of a group project you've done. There's always the smart one, the one who does everything, the idiot who means well but doesn't understand anything, and then there's the cheater who doesn't want to work but still wants a good grade. In the end, a group project is a bit like communism.

Work is pooled to obtain a result, a grade. But there's always the idiot, the cheater and the smart one, the one who does it all. We'll forgive the idiot, it's not his fault he doesn't understand anything. But it's harder for the cheater, who could do more if he wanted to. And the intelligent one who does the work, he's ready to share the first time, he's nice after all, but if everything always rests on him, he does all the work, he'll lose motivation and end up doing nothing. It's a bit like doing everything all the time, and eventually you just don't feel like doing anything anymore, which is perfectly normal. Well, that's exactly what happens in communism, but on a much larger scale.

The cheaters are in power, interested only in the result, but Center provide effort or work. The intelligent ones are demotivated and produce the minimum because everything is given to them anyway, and last but not least, the idiots, the naive ones, they keep on proclaiming that it's a good system because in fact they don't understand and they don't see what's behind it. Communism Centre is a nice idea on paper, but it can't work in our societies because, with a few exceptions, this system already poses problems in simple group work. So how can we make it work in our society? In fact, the only way to make this system work is to control and force everyone to work. But then we're no longer talking about communists, but about dictatorships like Aurora Korea or China. I hope you enjoyed this video.
